The new Earth Couture Spring Summer 2011 Collection

The wait is over...the new Earth Couture Spring Summer 2011 collection is now available online! With a nautical palette of navy and red, this collection sees summer favourite maxi dresses and glistening sequin tops brought to life. Using a jersey mix fabric consisting of 40% Modal (a fully biodegradable fabric spun from reconstituted Beech tree cellulose), these pieces are sure to be some of the softest and smoothest clothes you own! This fabric drapes beautifully as well, giving the racer back maxi dress that perfect figure skimming flow. The presence of Modal also helps keep the deep colours while not piling.

With the perfect fabric also comes the perfect designs. Compromised of five different designs, this collection's pieces focus on classic well fitting designs. From the stunning racer back maxi dress that lightly skims the body for a figure complimenting fit to the sequin covered tanks that have a discrete slit at the back, this collection has something suit every taste.

To further compliment these classic designs online we opted to use Stelianour Sani's new 3D photography technique that allows for a complete view of style. These moving images give a 360 degree close up view of each garment to fully show the fit and cut of each design. It has been a while since our last entry...the weeks seem to be passing quite fast but hope everyone is having a very Happy New Year! 2010 brought us much excitement and we hope 2011 will only continue that way. We have been busy finalising our new collections over the past months and, as the new collection has already received much positive press, we thought it was about time we delve a bit more into what to expect this year!

We were very happy to see that Glam UK recently picked our extra long short sleeve top with button detail to feature as part of its loveable loungewear to outerwear article! This piece, like the rest of the collection, is a versatile classic style that can be worn by itself, or layered with other pieces from the collections to create your own personal style. Below is possibly a perfect combination: our extra long short sleeve top with button detail with the cropped bodice tricot cardigan with front zip and thumb holes.

In our previous post Press Breakfast at Harrods dated Tuesday, 23^rd November 2010, you’ll remember images of the new Kelly Hoppen for Earth Couture collection. These images, along with the few sneak peaks below of other pieces from the collection, portray the integral part layering plays with these designs. As with the current collection, the beauty of these pieces is that everything can be worn together. Whether it be the sleeveless racer back top under the thumb hole cardigan or long sleeve top, the endless ‘mix and match’ aspect really makes these collections truly timeless necessities in your wardrobe!
