Paris Fashion Week

Although we're always sad to see the end of fashion weeks, we have loved all the shows this year. And Paris Fashion Week got lots of our love. The sporty and future feel are ones we of course relate to quite well so were excited to see them over Paris Fashion Week. From Miu Miu's holiday ready collection perfect for lounging to Maria Grazia Chiuri's feminist debut as the first female to ever helm Christian Dior, to Chanel's announcement of haute couture penetrating into ecommerce, Paris had it all for us. Stella McCartney's catwalk dance-off to show the movability of her clothes and the message of love was another bit we connected with. Spectacular catwalks also continued in Paris; we especially loved Dries Van Noten's collection presented alongside mesmerising installation of frozen flowers by Azuma Makoto and Koché's show at crowded Parisian La Canopée des Halles that literally took her clothes to the streets, fusing on the go style with haute couture level attention to detail. Rihanna's Fenty x Puma athleisure line debut also got us very excited to see just how much everyone is loving activewear! Another icing on the cake was Louis Vuitton cult Petite Malle Bag made into iPhone cases, we absolutely love this. What were your fashion week highlights? We'd love to hear them xxx

Our Fashion Month Picks!

Going for a completely packed blog entry today, we have decided to combine our picks from the New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks in one post! Surely you will agree that the past month was filled with truly beautiful creations. We especially loved the incredible stages each city's runways turned into during Fashion Week. From the cinema experience (complete with popcorn!) staged by Marc Jacobs in New York, to Anya Hindmarch's symmetrical optical illusions seen in London, to Dolce & Gabbana's selfie girls in Milan, and of course the Paris shows that saw Chanel in their own airport lounge, Louis Vuitton's digital punk stage and Hussein Chalayan's show-stopping dissolving clothes.

It was also great to see the environment play a big part in designer collections as seen with Vivienne Westwood's "Fash Mob" demonstration before her SS16 show. We also loved how Christopher Raeburn keeps sustainability at the heart of fashion with his SS16 show and how Dior planted half a million bluebells to create a biodynamic set for their latest collection in Paris.

Stella McCartney's new collection was another winner in our eyes, as were Missoni and Jacquemus' playfully colourful pieces (not forgetting that white horse!). Wardrobe classics from Ralph Lauren, Boss and Trussardi were great to see, as of course were the abundance of must have bows and accessories seen throughout. It might not come as a complete surprise however that we absolutely loved the Chloé SS16 collection with it's sophisticated sportswear influenced pieces matched with innocent feminine light fabrics and bows.

What are your picks, we'd love to hear from you! xx
