We are excited to announce the first of our new Boutique
designers: Susan Bender New York! Having always had a deep passion for fashion
and design, Susan gained retail management experience at Bloomingdale’s
flagship Manhattan store upon graduating from Tufts University. She then
continued to earn a MBA from NYU Stern School of Business before working in
brand management. Susan then decided to follow her passion for fashion and with
the help of a small samples making facility in New York City she created her
first collection of leather tops and jackets. From encouragement from her
friends to produce pieces for them and their friends, Susan’s collection has evolved
to stylish wearable classics. The silhouettes of soft leather complement the
female body creating stylish wardrobe classics. All garments are manufactured
by hand in New York City, where Susan is able to oversee production. By
observing the cutters and sewers and maintaining first-hand communication,
Susan is able to understand how to make improvements to her designs. The Susan
Bender NYC collection is sold privately by appointment at the company’s showroom
on Madison Avenue in New York.
