Introducing Susan Bender NYC

We are excited to announce the first of our new Boutique designers: Susan Bender New York! Having always had a deep passion for fashion and design, Susan gained retail management experience at Bloomingdale’s flagship Manhattan store upon graduating from Tufts University. She then continued to earn a MBA from NYU Stern School of Business before working in brand management. Susan then decided to follow her passion for fashion and with the help of a small samples making facility in New York City she created her first collection of leather tops and jackets. From encouragement from her friends to produce pieces for them and their friends, Susan’s collection has evolved to stylish wearable classics. The silhouettes of soft leather complement the female body creating stylish wardrobe classics. All garments are manufactured by hand in New York City, where Susan is able to oversee production. By observing the cutters and sewers and maintaining first-hand communication, Susan is able to understand how to make improvements to her designs. The Susan Bender NYC collection is sold privately by appointment at the company’s showroom on Madison Avenue in New York.

The super soft leather is complemented by the smooth silk lining and the figure accentuating fit. It is the lost cardigan and the black jacket rolled into one. We're still buzzing from all the Oscars glamour, but have finally managed to narrow down our favourites. Gowns worn by the beauties Margot Robbie, Jennifer Lawrence, Charlize Theron, Naomi Watts and Brie Larson were stunning, but our top picks must go to Alicia Vikander, Julianne Moore and Olivia Munn. There was also that something about Lady Gaga's white strapless jumpsuit made dress with a train. Which did you love? We'd like to hear from you!

The award season is a great way to start the year in our opinion, especially with all the glamorous fashion! And this years start with the Golden Globes Awards was no exception. There were numerous gorgeous looks including those from Taylor Schilling's low-cut shimmering Thakoon evening suit paired with an Anya Hindmarch clutch, to Jaimie Alexander in a geometric print Genny gown, Olivia Wilde in a classy sparkly custom Michael Kors gown, to mention just a few. Our top picks however go out to Brie Larson in a custom Calvin Klein gown, with beautiful cut away detailing that we just love, the custom Atelier Versace gown worn by Lady Gaga that brought a sense of old Hollywood and Marilyn Monroe, and of course the delicate yet playful Louis Vuitton dress worn by Alicia Vikander. Hello 2016!

Firstly, wishing you a Very Happy New Year!! Hope your festivities were filled with love and good company, followed by a great start to 2016!
